Snow on Halloween 2019!!

Redleaf.jpg

Today is October 31st/Halloween 2019 in Wisconsin. As I am writing this blog, there is actually a blizzard outside and shockingly enough the snow is sticking to the ground. And yes, this is southern Wisconsin and we do get our share of snow here but not generally in October. This is supposed to be the season of brightly colored leaves, pumpkin themed fall decorations and hot apple cider. At this point, with the snow, it feels more like Christmas and and snowman building season. The snow outside may even call you to put up an evergreen wreath and make hot chocolate!

BUT WAIT, calendar wise, Thanksgiving isn’t until November 28th. I’m one that likes to celebrate each holiday as they come. I wait to put up our Christmas tree after Thanksgiving, so, let’s try to get through Halloween today, then pray for a stretch of Indian summer to put us in the mood for Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone stays cozy this Halloween!
